Aequitas in Social and Economics (ASE) is a peer-reviewed, open access journal dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary scholarship at the intersection of equity, sustainability, and accountability in social and economic systems. The journal welcomes original research, theoretical contributions, and case studies that critically examine how social and economic structures can be redesigned to promote fairness, inclusivity, and long-term resilience. ASE provides a platform for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to engage with pressing issues such as environmental justice, inclusive finance, public accountability, and ethical governance. Aequitas in Social and Economics (ASE) was established in 2026 as a scholarly initiative to promote equity, sustainability, and accountability in social and economic systems. The journal is published by Imperium Research Institute in partnership with Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Indonesia Jakarta. Since its inception, ASE has been committed to providing an open access platform for critical interdisciplinary scholarship that bridges theory and practice, with a particular focus on the Global South. The journal aims to become a leading outlet for transformative research that challenges conventional economic and accounting paradigms and contributes to building more just and sustainable societies.
The journal's name, Aequitas (Latin for equity, fairness, and justice), reflects its core mission to center these values in social and economic studies. ASE continues to evolve, welcoming contributions that address the most pressing social and economic challenges of our time.
